GAINESVILLE -- The North Hall boys basketball team broke through in overtime to earn its first win of the season on Tuesday, knocking off Banks County 74-71 in Gainesville.

The Trojans (1-3, 1-1 Region 7-AAA) battled back from a 19-9 first quarter deficit and took a lead into the fourth quarter before the Leopards tied it at 63-63 and force overtime -- where North Hall held on for the victory.

Carson Heinen scored a game-high 31 points to lead the Trojans, while Brock Wingo added 23 and Evan Easton 11.

Austin Venable scored 22 to pace the Leopards, while Gatlin Boswell added 21.

Banks County will take on Rabun County on Friday.

North Hall will battle Chestatee at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the Lanierland tournament in Flowery Branch.
