Ga. man sentenced to 45 years in child rape

MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) -- Cobb County prosecutors say a man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison on child rape and molestation charges.

District Attorney's spokeswoman Kim Isaza says 28-year-old Eduardo Samir Castillanos, of Marietta, was convicted of three charges involving two of his younger relatives between 2007 and 2013.

During his sentencing Monday, Cobb County Superior Court Judge, Stephen Schuster, called Castillanos' attacks on the children "an abomination."

Isaza says Castillanos has been held without bond since he was arrested on May 1.
