Boys basketball: East Hall hammers North Hall, 81-45

RABBITTOWN -- The East Hall boys basketball team got its region season off to an impressive start on Friday courtesy a 81-45 defeat of North Hall in Rabbittown.

The Vikings (2-2, 2-1 Region 7-AAA) stormed into the first quarter, outscoring the Trojans (0-3, 0-1) 16-5 before grabbing a 44-21 halftime advantage.

Caleb Holtzclaw scored a game-high 18 points to lead East Hall, while Tristan Cooper and Kyvon Davenport each added 14.

Brock Wingo scored 14, while Evan Easton added 11 for North Hall.

East Hall will play host to Chestatee on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The Trojans will look to bounce back on Tuesday against Banks County in Gainesville.
