Busy weekend on tap for soccer complex

GAINESVILLE - Hall County officials expect hundreds of young soccer players and their families for the weekend as Allen Creek Soccer Complex hosts a tournament.

The Saturday and Sunday games are part of the Nike Cup soccer tournament, presented by the Norcross Soccer Association.

Teams from Florida, Tennessee, Texas, South Carolina and Alabama are expected to compete in 185 games. The 112 scheduled teams are made up of boys and girls ages nine through 12.

County officials expect 4700 people at the Allen Creek complex each day.

It's the seventh year the tournament has been in the county.
