Richt says Grantham not going anywhere despite defensive struggles

By The Associated Press
ATHENS -- Georgia coach Mark Richt plans no changes to his coaching staff, deciding to keep defensive coordinator Todd Grantham despite a disappointing season.

Richt said Sunday that "everybody should be back" after the No. 25 Bulldogs (8-4) finished the regular season with a 41-34 victory over Georgia Tech in double overtime. They will learn their postseason destination next week, with the Gator Bowl looking most likely.

Georgia struggled on defense with eight new starters, finishing 11th in the Southeastern Conference in points allowed (29.4 per game) and eighth in total yards (381.2). The low point came against Auburn, when two Georgia defenders collided and deflected a pass into the winning 73-yard touchdown with 25 seconds remaining.

Grantham's $850,000-a-year contract runs through the 2015 season.
