Flowery Branch man identified as accident victim

FLOWERY BRANCH - Hall County authorities said a 23-year-old Flowery Branch man was the victim of an early morning crash in south Hall County Thursday.

Sheriff's Department spokesman Dep. Chad Mann identified the victim as Travis Fowler, age 23.

Sheriff's Office investigators said it appeared Fowler, the driver of a Ford F-150, lost control of his vehicle on Wade Orr Road at Saddlehorse Drive, left the roadway and hit a telephone pole around 1 a.m. The phone pole was broken in half as a result of the crash, prompting the closure of the roadway.

Investigators said alcohol might have been a contributing factor in the accident; results of a toxicology report are pending.
