Gwinnett Co. firetruck involved in two-vehicle crash

NORCROSS - Gwinnett County authorities responded Tuesday evening to an accident involving a G.C.F.D. fire truck.

According to Gwinnett County Police Corporal Jake Smith, a vehicle crashed into a Gwinnett Co. fire truck at the intersection of Center Way and Oakbrook Parway in Norcross. Immediately after the accident, the driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene on foot.

Two other individuals who were passengers in the suspect vehicle were treated by emergency personnel at the scene.

The Gwinnett County Police Department is conducting an investigation into the matter, and no other details were immediately available.
