Hall County duals, swim championships, basketball all postponed due to weather

Inclement weather has forced the postponement of some area prep sports events set for Friday, including the Hall County Duals wrestling tournament, the Hall County Swimming Championships as well as all basketball games including Hall County teams.

The Hall County Duals, scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Friday at North Hall High School, will be held on Saturday at the school in a condensed format, beginning at noon. The competition will now be a bracketed tournament instead of a round-robin.

The swimming championships will be made-up on Tuesday at the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center, with competition beginning at 7 p.m.

Also, all basketball games involving Hall County teams have been postponed, with most make-up dates to be determined.

Basketball games postponed:

-- Banks County at West Hall

-- Lakeview at Athens Christian (will be made up on Thursday, Feb. 7)

-- East Hall at Dawson County

-- Eastside at Johnson

-- Flowery Branch at Cedar Shoals

-- Lumpkin County at Stephens County

-- Mountain View at Habersham Central

-- North Hall at White County

-- Rabun County at Greene County

-- Towns County at Providence Christian

-- Union County at Washington-Wilkes

Other events, including the Hall County Swimming Championships, are still scheduled for Friday, though they may be postponed at some point during the day. Check back with Access North Georgia.com for updates.
