GAINESVILLE - The woman who has served as interim principal at Gainesville High School since last spring has been named to the permanent position.
LaCrisia Larkin has been with Gainesville City Schools since 1982. She has served as a teacher, CTAE Director (Careers Program), and Assistant Principal.
Larkin replaces Chris Mance, who died almost a year ago. Mance, according to Gainesville City Schools Supt. Merrianne Dyer, designated Larkin to step in as acting principal when he became ill and had to take a long-term leave.
She has served since that time (March 2012), as acting principal, and then interim principal.
