BETHLEHEM -- The Flowery Branch girls basketball team continued its dominance of Region 8-AAAAA on Tuesday, courtesy a 61-38 defeat of Apalachee in Bethlehem.
The Lady Falcons (18-1, 12-0 Region 8-AAAA) outscored Apalachee 35-15 in the first half to take control of the contest.
Marissa Ivey buried four 3-pointers to help score a game-high 19 points for Flowery Branch. Jacy Ramey also added 15 points and pulled down nine rebounds to go along with six steals, while Tavia Sykes chipped in with 13 points and five assists.
The Lady Falcons travel to Athens to face Cedar Shoals on Friday.
