By Derreck Booth Anchor/reporter
WINDER - Winder Police went public with a surveillance photo in hopes of finding the suspect responsible for a Saturday afternoon package store robbery in the city.

According to police, the robbery call came at 1:47 p.m. to the store on McNeal Road. The male suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money from a store employee. He got away on foot with $350 to $400, according to Winder Police.

The suspect is described as a black man with a large build. He was wearing dark clothing, sunglasses and a stocking hat. He's also described as having a well-groomed goatee style beard.

Police said he was last seen walking toward a shopping center parking lot across the street from the liquor store.

Police ask anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect or other information regarding the incident to contact Detective Wayne Samples of the Winder Police Department at 770-867-2156.
