Blue Sky Concerts return to downtown Gainesville Wednesday

GAINESVILLE - The October Blue Sky Concert series kicks off Wednesday at noon in Downtown Gainesville with the country sounds of The Steve Bryson Band.

October 10 will feature blues and southern rock from Diversity; October 17 features contemporary jazz by Monica Spears; and October 24 will finish with the classic rock sounds of SideShow.

"Brown bag lunches can be purchased from the official vendor - Deep South Dogs October 3, Luna s October 10, The Collegiate Grill October 17, and Atlas Pizza October 24 - or you can bring your own food..

The concerts - which last for one hour each Wednesday in May and October - are designed to provide an "upbeat cultural backdrop to the vibrant business activities in Downtown Gainesville," according to organizers.

Each concert will be broadcast live on TV18, The Government Channel and will be rebroadcast throughout the following week and online at www.tv18online.org.
