LULA - Hall County authorities arrested a Lula couple Thursday afternoon after marijuana plants were discovered growing on their property.

Lt. Scott Ware with the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad said a Georgia State Patrol helicopter actually spotted the plants in the 5400 block of Old Cornelia Highway around 3 p.m. and alerted authorities.

"They then located and subsequently seized five marijuana plants, as well as a small amount of processed marijuana," he said.

Ware said the approximate street value of the drugs is $10,000.

He said the occupants of the home, 39-year-old Daniel George Norton and 34-year-old Lydia Ann Norton, were arrested and booked into the Hall County Jail.
