Volleyball: Lady Elephants win two in quad-match

WATKINSVILLE -- Gainesville won two of three matches Tuesday in a quad-match at Oconee County.

The Lady Elephants (25-8) whipped East Jackson 25-9, 25-9, knocked off Winder-Barrow 25-15, 25-20 but fell to Oconee County 25-23, 25-14.

Kaylin Walden had a huge night with 48 assists, 27 service points, nine digs and four aces for Gainesville. Anna Walker added 28 kills, 11 service points, seven digs and two blocks and Stasha Hopkins had 15 points on serve with 14 kills, eight digs, four blocks and two aces for the Red Elephants.

Gainesville next will travel to Salem for a tri-match with the Lady Seminoles and Eastside on Thursday.
