Police and fire units respond to natural gas leak

By Derreck Booth Anchor/reporter
GAINESVILLE - All the police and fire department activity on Cleveland Highway in Gainesville Tuesday morning was due to a natural gas leak inside an old building.

The call came to 1477 Park Hill Drive, according to Gainesville Fire Chief Jon Canada. He said firefighters turned the gas off and ventilated the structure, an old daycare center.

No one was injured. Firefighters responded around 9:00 a.m.
