Gainesville freshman Ralston wins Junior Classic

Spencer Ralston, a freshman member of the Gainesville High golf team, took first place in the 14-15-year-old division of The Georgia Club Junior Classic held this weekend at The Georgia Club in Statham.

Ralston fired rounds of 69 and 72 for a two-day total of 141 (one under par). Ralston finished second overall out of 60 golfers, including the 14-15 and the 16-18 age division. This tournament was hosted by the Georgia PGA Junior Tour.

Reeves Bell, a senior at Gainesville, finished in a tie for 16th place in the 16-18 division and 26th overall with rounds of 77-77 and a 154 total. Hunter Young, a member of the North Hall golf team, also competed and shot 86-78 for a 164 total.
