Shore Sweep: The Big Clean Up

By Staff
GAINESVILLE - The Lake Lanier Association is gearing up for Shore Sweep 2012, which will be held next Saturday from 8:00-1:00.

Hundreds of volunteers are need - and expected - for the 24th annual cleanup of Lake Lanier. In past years, more than 1,000 people have turned out for the event. The record haul: nine tons.

Trash may be taken to these locations, with the exception of Lake Lanier Islands, where volunteers may enter at no charge through the main gate to collect trash.
