Volletyball: Jefferson splits against ranked teams

STOCKBRIDGE -- Jefferson split a pair of matches against Class AAAA ranked teams Woodland and Locust Grove Friday.

The Lady Dragons lost 25-15, 25-11 to No. 3 ranked Woodland but rallied from a set down to knock off eighth-ranked Locut Grove 13-25, 25-17, 25-21.

cylinders sparked by two huge blocks by Freshman Lindsey Nilsen. Jefferson won the toss in game 3 and the match went back and forth for the entire game. Neither team was able to build a lead of more than 2 points until Jefferson pulled away late and got the victory, 2-1 (13-25, 25-17, 25-21)

Jefferson is now 22-8 and will play Saturday against Houston County.
