Volleyball: Lady Vikings swept on the road

ROSWELL -- The No. 8 East Hall volleyball team took its overall season record to 18-11, (2-4 in area play) with two losses at Blessed Trinity on Tuesday.

The Lady Vikings lost a close match to Decatur (20-25, 25-20, 26-24) and then fell to No. 1 Blessed Trinity (25-9, 25-11).

Brittney Campbell had 11 points on serve with 3 aces. She also had 7 digs, 3 kills and 32 assists to help lead East Hall. Emily Hoggard had 8 points on serve with 1 ace, 20 kills, 1 assist, 1 block and 17 digs, while Kara Hix scored 12 points on serve with 2 aces and 37 digs. Tarryn Long had 7 points scored on serve, 20 kills, 3 assists and 7 digs, and TT Shelton scored 3 points on serve with 4 kills, 1 assist and 9 digs. Emily Roberts also had 2 points scored on serve with 1 ace, 1 dig, 6 kills and 1 block.

East Hall will play again Thursday in their final home game of the season against Winder-Barrow at 5 p.m. and East Jackson at 6 p.m.
