Volleyball: East Hall splits tri-match

DULUTH -- The East Hall volleyball team split a tri-match on Thursday, defeating Duluth but falling to Johnson in Duluth.

The Lady Vikings (9-4) lost to Johnson in their first match 25-18, 14-25, 25-23 and Duluth in three sets 18-25, 25-19, 25-11.

Brittney Campbell led East Hall on the night with 19 points on serve and four aces. She also had five kills, 11 digs and 35 assists. Emily Hoggard also had 15 points on serve with two aces, 11 kills and nine digs, while Kara Hix scored 19 points on serve with six aces, one kill, pme assist and 61 digs on the night. She also had a nin-point service run against Duluth.

TT Shelton also scored 10 points on serve with an ace, seven kills, two assists, a block and seven digs. Tarryn Long also had 10 points scored on serve, 25 kills, an assist, two blocks and 20 digs, while Emily Roberts had four kills, two blocks and two digs.

East Hall will play on Tuesday night against North Hall and Cross Keys in Area 5-AAA play.
