Volleyball: Lady Vikings sweep tri-match

ATHENS -- The East Hall girls volleyball team ran its record to 6-3 with a pair of wins over Flowery Branch and Prince Avenue Thursday night.

The Lady Vikings beat Flowery Branch in straight sets 25-16,25-23 to start the evening and then ended their night by defeating Prince Avenue in straight sets 26-24,25-20. Stats on the night are as follows:

Brittney Campbell had nine points on serve with five5 aces and also had seven digs and 26 assists to pace East Hall. Emily Hoggard had eight points on serve with 11 kills and seven digs and Kara Hix scored 10 points on serve with 21 digs.

Cassida Shockley scored seven points on serve, Tarryn Long had 19 kills and 15 digs, Emily Roberts had three kills and Savannah Lindsey had four points on serve and five digs on the night.

East Hall next will travel to Lumpkin County on Tuesday night.
