LULA - The number of confirmed rabies cases in Hall County for 2012 has climbed to 16 following the latest report of contact between a rabid skunk and two cats in Lula.
Officials with Hall County Animal Control said the contact occurred in the area of Lula Road.
They said the skunk was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur, where it tested positive for the disease.
