Cleveland officials approve LOST agreement

CLEVELAND, Ga. - Cleveland officials have given their approval to a certificate of distribution for Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) dollars collected in White County.

At its last meeting, the White County Commission approved a distribution formula of 20 percent for each city and 60 percent for the county.

White County Manager Mike Melton was at Monday night's Cleveland City Council meeting for the unanimous approval.

Cleveland Mayor Don Stanley said the city was happy with the agreement. The city of Helen must also approve the distribution agreement.
