Man with homemade bomb at Forsyth Co. car dealership arrested

CUMMING - A disgruntled former employee at a Forsyth County car dealership is facing charges after igniting a homemade bomb at the business earlier this week.

"When employees arrived at work Tuesday morning, they found damage to a vehicle and damage to an area of asphalt near the vehicle," said Forsyth County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Karleen Chalker.

Chalker said the device is now being inspected by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

She said 34-year-old Quinton Gregory Smith of Johns Creek was identified by management of RBM Mercedes Atlanta-North as the man in the surveillance video.

Chalker said Smith had been fired from the dealership the day before the incident occurred.

"We believe that his motive for doing this is revenge, however, this is still an ongoing investigation," she said.
