By Derreck Booth Anchor/reporter
WINDER - Barrow County authorities are looking for two suspects after the victim of a home invasion fired back at them in Winder Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Barrow County sheriff's office, the two masked men entered the home on Jessica Court with a shotgun. It happened around 3:15 p.m.

The victim tried to hide, and one of the suspects fired at him. Authorities said the victim returned fire with a pistol. The men took off. Authorities believe no one was hurt.

Investigators said they're vigorously pursuing leads. According to the sheriff's office, the incident appears like an isolated case, however they are beefing up patrols in the area.

The first suspect is described as a tall light-skinned black man, about six feet tall, wearing jeans and a gray T-shirt.

The second suspect is described as about five and a half feet

Authorities believe the pair may have been riding in a gray four-door sedan.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Barrow County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 770-307-3080, ext. 3083.
