Georgia 365 bridge to close for three weeks

CLARKESVILLE - The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) plans to close part of the Tom Arrendale Interchange on Georgia 365 in Habersham County for about a month starting Monday.

Officials say this is necessary because of plans to remove a damaged section of concrete and replace it. They say the approach slab between the roadway and bridge is the part that needs replacing. Crews will remove the damaged slab and pour a new one.

The southbound ramp from Georgia 365 to Georgia 15/U.S. 441 south will be closed. Detour directions will be posted.

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday at 8:00 a.m. and the bridge will be closed for approximately three weeks, scheduled to reopen Monday, July 30.
