Home invasion reported in south Hall Co.

By Katie Crumley
Buford - A home invasion was reported in southern Hall County overnight.

Hall County Sheriff's Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks said a suspect forced his way into a home on North Waterworks Road around 3:30 Tuesday morning, pointed a gun at the female occupant and demanded money. He said the suspect was unable to get any cash but did flee the residence with the victim's cell phone.

Wilbanks said the woman and two children who were also home at the time were not injured.

He said it's unclear whether or not the incident is connected with a break-in reported in Flowery Branch several hours later.
