New principal named for Banks Co. High School

HOMER - The Banks County Board of Education has hired a new principal for Banks County High School.

According to the school system's website, Dr. Joseph Goodroe will fill the position.

Goodroe currently serves as an associate superintendent at Dade County Schools. Banks County Schools officials said Goodroe will officially begin the new position on July 5.

Banks County school officials are also looking for a principal for Banks County Middle School, following Monday's night's hiring of Matthew Cooper as the new superintendent for the Habersham County School System.
