Cleveland man injured by falling tree

CLEVELAND - A 74-year-old Cleveland man has been airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center for injuries he sustained Thursday afternoon when a portion of a large pine tree rolled over him.

White County Fire Department Spokeswoman Ana Newberry said the man was watching someone cutting a tree near his home on Rogers Road when the tree fell onto a house and then rolled onto him.

No other details, including the man's identity, have been released at this time.
