Retail store to hire 80 in Winder

ATHENS - The opening of a new retail store in Winder will mean an additional 80 jobs for the area.

The Georgia Department of Labor's (GDOL) Athens Career Center will help T.J. Maxx fill the positions for a new store at Barrow Crossing and U.S. Highway 82 in Winder.

The store is scheduled to open in July and the company will be hiring sales associates, cashiers, stock room clerks, and personnel to load and unload trucks.

GDOL officials say they will hold recruitments Monday and Tuesday, June 25-26, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Winder Leisure Service Center, located at 175 Second St.
