Police identify Buford murder victim, make arrest

BUFORD - Gwinnett County Police identified the victim of a murder outside of a Buford apartment complex Wednesday night.

Officers found the body of 19 year old Trevon Watson of Buford when they responded to a report of gunshots at 1869 Appaloosa Lane around 5:30 p.m.

Detectives arrested 22 year old Michael Thomas Clark of Lawrenceville who was an acquaintance of the victim.

Clark is charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Gwinnett County Police said detectives found a small amount of marijuana near the victim.
