Girls basketball: White County edges out West Hall

CLEVELAND -- The White County girls basketball team edged out West Hall 44-42 on Tuesday in Cleveland.

The Lady Warriors outscored the visiting Lady Spartans 15-9 in the fourth quarter.

Riley Slaton scored 11 points to lead White County, while Kaitlyn Wilson added 10 points.

West Hall (4-3, 0-1 Region 7-AAA) was led by a game-high 15 points from senior Haley Haynes -- all on 3-pointers. Mia Booker also added 11 points.

West Hall plays host to Fannin County at 6 p.m. Friday.
