On the heels of the most successful soccer season in Brenau's history, three Golden Tigers were named to NAIA All-American teams. Esther Anyanwu and Linda Chukquji of Lagos, Nigeria, as well as Tori Brown of Windermere, Fla., all made history becoming the first players to receive this honor for the Golden Tigers.

Esther Anyanwu, who finished the season with an impressive 27 goals and eight assists to lead the conference, was named both the SSAC Newcomer of the Year and the Offensive Player of the Year. Anyanwu ranked second in the nation in overall points with 62 and led the NAIA in game winning goals with seven on the year. Additionally, Anyanwu scored three or more goals in four games this season. For her efforts, Anyanwu was named to the SSAC First Team in 2012.

Sophomore, Tori Brown, was equally impressive on the defensive side of the ball. Brown recorded seven shutouts on the year while contributing 135 saves over the course of 18 games. Brown, a First Team All-SSAC recipient in 2011, received the same honor this year for helping the Tigers reach a record 13 wins on the season. Brown was also the recipient of the team's MVP Defense award.

Linda Chukwuji, despite playing in only 13 of the team's 18 games, was a formidable presence in the middle of the field for Brenau. The consummate ball-winner for the Tigers, Chukwuji put in four goals of her own and contributed four assists en route to leading the team in one of the most critical positions on the field. Her nomination to the SSAC First Team brings the Golden Tigers a record number of three players selected for this elite group.

The Tigers closed out the 2012 campaign with a record of 13-5-0. The Tigers lose only one player to graduation.
