Lakeview Academy announces new Upper School Director

GAINESVILLE - Lakeview Academy Tuesday announced the appointment of Beth McElwee to Upper School Director.

The transition of leadership will begin immediately and be fully effective May 2013, according to school officials.

McElwee has more than 20 years experience teaching multiple disciplines of mathematics while also managing curriculum and other administrative duties. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and has earned master's degrees in the concentrations of Educational Leadership and Education-Mathematics. Her certifications include Educational Leadership and Mathematics.

McElwee is married to Bobby McElwee and they have two children, Katie and Madison. Katie McElwee is a graduate of Gainesville High School and Madison is currently attending Lakeview Academy. The McElwees have resided in Gainesville for over 25 years.
