Authorities hope photos lead to robbery suspects

WINDER - Barrow County Sheriff's Office investigators are looking for three male suspects in connection with the Tuesday evening robbery of the Dollar General Store in Bethlehem.

The only description is that they were three black men, but authorities Thursday released photographs from store surveillance video, hoping they lead to arrests.

Lt. Matt Guthas said the gunpoint robbery happened around 10:00 p.m.

"One (employee) was assaulted, but she's not hurt. The other employee was able to lock herself in the office and phone police," Guthas said.

The assault was on the cashier, according to Guthas. She was closing the store for the night when the men came in the store. One of the suspects grabbed her by the neck and forced her to the ground.

Guthas said one of the robbers was armed with a handgun and threatened the cashier. The suspects got money from the clerk and got away before deputies arrived.

"We have a few other leads that investigators are following that are specific to the investigation. I don't want to release those because they might jeopardize the investigation," Guthas said.

Investigators said anyone with information on the suspects or the incident can call the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigations Division, at 770-307-3080, ext. 3083.
