Residents escape Gainesville house fire

By Derreck Booth Anchor/reporter
GAINESVILLE - Gainesville fire crews were on the scene of a residential blaze late Wednesday afternoon at 2317 Juniper Court. That's off Spring Haven Drive off Browns Bridge Road.

Fire Captain Keith Smith said about half of the house was involved in heavy flames when firefighters arrived, but no one was hurt in the fire.

"One homeowner was transported (to the hospital). She had some fainting spells and some medical issues, but non-life threatening," Smith said.

City fire investigators were looking into the cause of the fire.

Gainesville Police were directing traffic in the Spring Haven area late into afternoon rush hour.
