North Georgia Christian basketball teams open with sweep

The North Georgia Christian varsity basketball teams started their season off with two victories against the visiting Lions from Mountain Area Christian Academy on Tuesday night in Oakwood.

The North Georgia Christian boys won 50-47.

Jackson Britton paced the Chargers with 16 points, while Sam Youngblood and Norris Rettiger added 14 and 12 points, respectively.

In the girls game the Lady Chargers won 39-22 over the Lady Lions.

Julianne Sutton paced the Lady Chargers with 10 points while Jordan Ball and Sarah Rhodes each added 8 points and Nicole Ball chipped in 7 points.

Both teams are now 1-0 in the new season.
