WATKINSVILLE -- The Lakeview Academy boys cross country team captured its third straight state meet appearance on Thursday, finishing third in the Area 2-A private championships in Watkinsville.<br />
Lewis Brooks paced the Lions, finishing seventh overall with a time of 17 minutes, 54 seconds. Dalton Snyder also finished 11th (18:19), while Dustin Snyder was 16th (18:35). Rounding out the team were Grant Hocker, 26th, 19:20; Kyle Lewis, 31st, 19:39; Clint Walker, 37th, 20:30 and Joe Pennington, 43rd, 21:10.<br />
The Lions will run in the Class A private championship race next Saturday in Macon.
