FBHS wins region one-act competition

FLOWERY BRANCH - Flowery Branch High School recently won the region 8AAAAA One Act Competition.

They performed "Mary's Wedding," a dream play by Stephen Massicotte set in World War I which is about a young couple in love. The play has only two actors and both performers, Brooke Salyer and Brad Brown, won best actor and actress for the region.

The production also won best set, which was designed and built by Flowery Branch student Cole Hamilton.

The production now advances to state competition on November 3.
