Barrow County Sheriff's Office gets state certification

By Derreck Booth Anchor/reporter
WINDER - The Barrow County Sheriff's Office has been approved as a State Certified Law Enforcement Agency. According to Barrow County authorities, the county is the 20th in Georgia to achieve state certification.

"Our commitment to excellence and accountability is never-ending. We could not have accomplished this if our employees were not committed as well. It is an honor to be a part of the certification program," Sheriff Jud Smith said.

The Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police made the approval.
