MOUNT AIRY -- It took a few weeks, but Habersham Central is winless no more.

The Raiders struck the goose egg from their record on Friday, smacking Meadowcreek 31-12 in Mt. Airy.

Habersham (1-6, 1-4 Region 7-AAAAAA) not only ended its own streak, it dealt the Mustangs their 44th straight defeat, tying a state record.

The Raiders did it on the ground on Friday, as Sydnee Mulligan rushed 25 times for 197 yards and a touchdown. Brandt Rinehart also carried eight times for 126 yards and two scores.

Habersham travels to face North Gwinnett next Friday.
