Volleyball: East Hall finishes historic regular season red hot

MONROE -- The No. 8 East Hall volleyball completed its regular season schedule on Friday, securing its first ever winning season after wins over Lumpkin County, Walnut Grove, Loganville and Morgan County in Monroe.

The Lady Vikings (28-12) defeated Lumpkin County 25-4, 25-20, Walnut Grove 25-16, 25-13, Loganville 25-14, 25-18 and Morgan County 25-22, 25-21 to finish the season on a 10-match win streak.

Brittney Campbell had 13 points on serve with 2 aces. She also had 27 digs, 7 kills and 75 assists. Emily Hoggard scored 21 pts. on serve with 6 aces, 19 kills and 16 digs. Kara Hix scored 21 pts. on serve with 4 aces, 7 kills, 6 assists and 62 digs. Tarryn Long had 16 pts. scored on serve with 7 aces, 46 kills, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 27 digs. TT Shelton scored 38 pts. on serve with 7 aces, 17 kills, 8 assists and 22 digs. Emily Roberts had 12 pts. scored on serve with 4 aces, 8 kills, 4 digs and 3 blocks. Allyson Segars added 7 kills and 1 block.

East Hall will play again in the Area 5-AAA Tournament on Tuesday against West Hall at Blessed Trinity in Roswell.
