Landscape firm plans expansion in Forsyth County

By Derreck Booth Anchor/reporter
CUMMING - Economic leaders in Forsyth County Thursday said a company plans an expansion that could generate as many as 50 new jobs.

According to the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, Russell Landscape Group plans a 27,000 square-foot expansion on Pendley Road in Cumming.

Russell COO Bob Russell told the chamber the new facility will allow the company to run ten to perhaps over 15 trucks and employ 25 to 50 people at the site.

The company operates in five metro areas, including Atlanta, Birmingham, Charleston, Destin, Nashville and Savannah, according to the chamber.

Chamber officials didn't indicate a timeline for the expansion or whether Russell will build or use an existing facility.
