White County woman rescued from flooding car

By Dean Dyer, WRWH
CLEVELAND - A White County woman had to be rescued from flooding water in her car Monday night.

White County Fire Department spokeswoman Ana Newberry said station 3 volunteers assisted in getting the woman out after her vehicle. The car was stuck in about three feet of water in the woman's driveway on Wright Road.

The driver told rescuers she didn't realize how deep the water was when she tried to drive through it.

"This just points to the fact that you should never drive into water you are not sure how deep it is," Newberry said.
