GAINESVILLE - Lt. Governor Casey Cagle says Georgia is hoping Congress will soon authorize needed dollars for Medicaid assistance. Cagle spoke at Tuesday's Gainesville Kiwanis Club meeting.
Cagle said the state is watching the progress of a Congressional authorization for (FMAP) or federal Medicaid assistance funding percentages. Georgia is counting on the money to help balance the $17.7 billion state budget that Gov. Sonny Perdue signed into law earlier this month.
