Boys basketball: Knights claim third in JHS Holiday tourney

OAKWOOD -- Johnson claimed third place in the JHS Holiday Shootout whipping North Forsyth 64-49 at the Johnson gym Thursday.

The Knights trailed 15-10 after the first quarter, but outscored the Raiders 17-8 in the 2nd quarter to grab the lead and never trailed again. The Knights used a 23-10 third quarter to blow the game open.

Johnson dominated the boards getting 22 offensive rebounds in the game.

The win also snapped a three-game losing streak for the Knights (8-4). Ty Odem paced Johnson with a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Matt Hollis added 14 points for the Knights, who had 10 different players score.

Freshman Drew Dunham, making his first career start, had four points, five steals, and five assists for Johnson.



Johnson plays again in it's subregion opener at home on January 7th at 8:30 vs. West Hall
