Baldwin administrator, councilman at odds

BALDWIN - The city administrator of Baldwin is asking the mayor and city council to launch an investigation into one of the council members.

Jerry Presley claims councilman Jeff Parrish threatened and intimidated city employees on multiple occasions in an effort to coerce them into "choosing sides" in ongoing political disputes among city council members.

Meanwhile, Parrish suggested that the city do away with the city administrator position since the council didn't follow the city charter's guidelines when they created it. Parrish made the suggestion in an email to Presley and the council members last week.

The council is set to hold an executive session on the matter at 6 p.m. Tuesday night.
