Gwinnett double shooting result of long-time dispute

By B.J. Williams
DACULA - The double shooting that happened Wednesday morning in the parking lot of a medical office park in Dacula was the result of a long time dispute between the two men involved.

Gwinnett County police said evidence gathered at the scene of the shooting at 3625 Braselton Highway leads them to believe the shooting was a murder attempt-suicide.

Investigators think Anthony Eugene Fisher, 50, of Statham went to the office park to confront Timothy Clayton Smith, 43, of Hoschton. When Smith exited a building, Fisher approached him and shot him multiple times, according to police.

Smith is hospitalized in critical condition. Fisher killed himself after shooting Smith. The two had been involved in a personal dispute dating back several years.
