Juvenile charged after hit-and-run

GAINESVILLE - A juvenile has been arrested by Gainesville police after he tried to retrieve his wrecked car which he had abandoned after an accident Sunday afternoon

Lt. Brian Kelly said the suspect was arrested several hours after the accident when he went to the wrecker service where the car had been towed. The accident happened about 4:30 near the Thompson Bridge Road/Enota Avenue intersection.

"He admitted to driving the car and he was placed under arrest for Hit And Run and Violation of Learnerâ
