GAINESVILLE - As expected, the chairman of the Hall County Democratic Party has officially announced his candidacy for Georgia's 9th Congressional seat.
According to the Hall County Democrats' website, Mike Freeman will join the already crowded race for the position being vacated by Nathan Deal, who is running for governor.
Earlier this year, Freeman made the rounds of area Democratic committee meetings and outlined plans for a campaign.
